Meet Rob Kalman

Rob is a University of Michigan graduate, and earned an MBA from MSU. He has 17 years of local government experience and is currently the Mayor of Keego Harbor. He is a business consultant for fortune 500 companies. His commitment to public service amplifies his passion for social justice and equity, emphasizing the importance of civility even when one disagrees.

HEALTHCARE

Rob was endorsed by Planned Parenthood of Michigan. He believes in reproductive freedom and that everyone should have access to affordable, quality medical care.

ENVIRONMENT

Rob protects our environment. Keego Harbor received the sustainable community leader award from SEMCOG (Southeast Michigan Council of Governments) under his leadership.

ECONOMY

Rob was endorsed by the Metro Detroit AFL-CIO, as well as multiple other unions. He supports economic development initiatives that create good paying jobs.

PREVENT GUN VIOLENCE

Rob was awarded the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction. He advocates for policies that eliminate gun violence and protect our kids and neighborhoods.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Rob graduated from the FBI Citizen's Academy. He’s a member of the Tri-City Fire Board & attended OAKWAY’s Fire Ops 101, a mutual aid training program for Oakland and Wayne County fire departments. He obtained a $ 100,000 grant and increased marine patrol of Cass Lake with the Oakland County Sheriff’s office.
